New Burger Spot Just Opened and It’s Fire

Chef James Piazza just soft-opened a second Bad Jimmy’s location in Scottsdale (corner of Miller & Indian School), and the burgers are 10/10.

What started as a pop-up in 2020 has turned into a full-blown burger obsession—and this new spot keeps the vibes alive with red booths, white leather chairs, and his signature Coca-Cola-style branding.

It’s no frills which is what every burger spot should be. I was lucky enough to check their Downtown location out when they first opened and I got two cheeseburgers. Which was followed by 3 more 🐽. They’re that good. I’m pumped there’s a location close to me now!

Another Scottsdale Restaurant Ranks High on a Nationwide Yelp Contest

Scottsdale’s own Chula Seafood has been recognized as one of the nation’s top seafood destinations, according to Yelp’s “Best Seafood in Every State 2025” list. 

If you haven’t been to Chula, go! They bring in fresh, sustainable catches from San Diego daily, offering a variety of options from raw selections to lobster rolls and poke bowls.

Their shrimp and potato taco dorado earned a perfect score at the 2024 Taco Fest.

Awesome to see another local restaurant get the nationwide praise it deserves. Last month De Babel ranked #3 on Yelp’s best US restaurants list.

Sweet Republic Opens It’s 4th Location

Sweet Republic just opened their fourth spot in South Scottsdale! They have a ton of unique flavors like Dill Pickle and Coffee & Donut. Try the Irish Creme - you won’t regret it. They’ve been at it for over 16 years, and now they’ve set up shop at Scottsdale and Second Street. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.

Hidden Speakeasy in North Scottsdale

Looking for an upscale cocktail spot that’s different than a lot of the other places in Scottsdale? Tell Your Friends is it.

It’s inside The Americano, in classic speakeasy fashion. You take the stairs down (cool experience I won’t ruin) and the place opens up into an intimate space with red velvet drapes, floral accents, and a shimmering gold ceiling. It felt like I stepped into the Prohibition Era in a good way. There’s playful yet sophisticated drinks like their banana-infused old fashion. Plus they have live music and the band is exceptional.

If you’re planning a visit, reservations are recommended. It’s known to be booked out well in advance.

One of the Best Patios to Unwind

If you’re looking for a lunch or sunset dinner spot that nails the “Scottsdale chill” vibe—Isabella’s Kitchen is it. Last weekend me and a few friends stopped by and had a good time in perfect weather.

Sitting right next to the Grayhawk Golf Club, this casual Italian eatery has one of the best patios in town, overlooking the course and McDowell Mountains. Think twinkle lights, rolling greens, and a solid glass of wine in hand.

The menu leans rustic Italian: pizza, pasta, antipasti—the kind of stuff that makes you want to linger and order one more round. It’s super laid back, but still feels polished.

Perfect for a low-key date, post-golf bite, or catching up with friends when you just want good food and a view.
